Lady Gaga’s September British Vanity Fair Cover Is Out
The first big cover of this year's September fashion titles is out! Lady Gaga, naked as usual, poses virtually colorless for British Vanity Fair, wearing only a fancy cat collar and the same long gray hair she had at this year's Met Gala. Shot by Nick Knight, this may be her best cover yet: She looks quite pretty all washed out without firearms coming out of her boobs or her tush hanging out. Of course she may be saving that for inside the magazine, where she undoubtedly provides as much fake meaning to the cover headline "Why is she?" as possible, even though the answer is simply "attention." Born and raised during the eighties, Greg Mike grew up around the street artists and skate kids of New York City. It didn’t take long for him to find his own voice in this maelstrom of art and street culture, spending his formative tagging anything he could get at. As Mike honed his craft by night, and paid bills by day, a part of him struggled to break free and develop a new medium for himself. So then were Mad Cans, pop cans detailed with wild street art designs, born. The cans took off, finding homes in galleries and private collections. A couple weeks ago we posted news about Enterbay’s Bruce Lee Figure, but now there is another one by Hot Toys that will make it a tough decision for many of us. This figure is 1/6 scale like the Enterbay one, no information on release date or pricing yet though. The accessories are what sets this one apart from the other, it comes with 2 heads, 2 shoes, 2 costumes, nunchucks, 3 rods, 1 snake, 1 bag, 3 movie backdrops, and 14 different sets of hands.

Limoland's Flashy Streetwear is Not for the Color-Shy
Eye-popping streetwear brand Limoland unveiled its U.S. flagship today, a splashy 750-square-foot space abutting the Highline. Like the neon-hued polos and double-L-printed hoodies lining the shelves, the shop is flashy and bold, with Astroturf-covered floors, color-changing LED lights, and poppy music blasting overhead. The brand was founded in 2007 by Jean Pigozzi, a French photographer and famed African art collector who now spends his time jetting between Switzerland, Panama, France, England, and the U.S. (The blue-faced logo, Mr. Limo, is based after Tanzanian artist George Lilanga.) The busy prints and color-block jackets take confidence to pull off, but true Limoland peacocks will be pleased with the details, like polos knit from Pima cotton and hoodies lined in silk. Though the apparel caters to men, women can check out the brand's sturdy cotton-canvas and leather travel accessories, a collaboration with Japanese bag brand Yoshida Porter. Christopher Bailey and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Talk Loyalty and the Burberry Family
Hours before showing his spring 2011 menswear collection in Milan, Christopher Bailey chatted with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (who appears in Burberry's current campaign) for Interview magazine about the tight-knit Burberry family, a new beauty line, and his obsession with acoustic music.
In the past year and a half, Bailey has won Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards and the prestigious International Award by the Council of Fashion Designers of America. Since 2001 he has been busy revolutionizing the house of Burberry—designing every collection, influencing the architecture of the brand's new headquarters, producing fragrances, launching a cosmetics line, scouting young bands for Burberry Acoustic, informing one of the most aggressive digital offerings to come from a fashion brand, and founding a charity with Burberry's CEO.
He's also fiercely loyal to his Burberry team, having worked with many of the same people (such as Mario Testino) since day one. Bailey explains, "I don’t like that idea of working with somebody one season and then it’s over. To me that feels somewhat superficial. . . When you’re loyal to somebody, you have a real mutual respect. And with that respect comes freedom and being open to talk very honestly with each other."

Erin Fetherston Debuts First Juicy Collection with Cocktail Looks and Art Deco Jewels
Erin Featherston's debut collection as creative consultant for Juicy Couture will launch this holiday. The 11-look lineup includes a version of, and was inspired by, the Thirties style velour gown Featherston wore to the Met Ball last May.
Although the collection skews evening more than typical looks from Juicy founders and former designers Gela Nash-Taylor and Pamela Skaist-Levy, Featherston maintains she is not looking to abandon Juicy's relaxed look. “This is a holiday capsule, so it’s more dressed up for the season,” she said recently. “We’re not trying to take Juicy away from being a casual brand. But my vision is to take things out of the box of just sportswear or leisurewear." True to Juicy form, there is plenty of velour in the collection.

Esteban Cortázar Resurfaces With a New Collection at Colombiamoda
It was a sad day in fashion history when Esteban Cortázar left Ungaro, but the designer is officially back in the game showing a collection at the Colombiamoda fair in Colombia. For Fall '10, the designer showed off his street chic aesthetic and created a mix of cool girl offerings in the way of tailored leather shorts, leopard print minidresses, and body-con suiting. Furthering the fresh vibe were cute cutout dresses, loose button-up shirts, and utility pants. Definitely a more casual luxe approach compared to his work at Ungaro, but we see potential for a major comeback. What do you think?
220 Models to Attempt Mile-Long Runway in Denmark
Copenhagen Fashion Week is getting a healthy amount of attention leading up to its kickoff next month by boasting of their record-breaking mile-long catwalk. Helena Christensen will cut the ribbon at the runway, which is supposed to be 50 feet longer than the longest runway Guinness has on record (which was erected by Thailand's Pattaya International Fashion Week).
On August 14, 220 models will walk down Christensen's mile-long runway wearing outfits by more than 500 Scandinavian labels. A giant mile-long fashion show sounds spectacular, but how are they planning on taking care of the models? Will rest stations hand out energy bars? Will people run alongside them, like at the Tour de France, and throw Gatorade at them? Because if they have to walk to one end of the thing and back, they'll have to work it all sexylike for two miles. While everyone stares at them. And if they're wearing heels, they might also set some kind of blister-related record.

For those rich food fanatics who like to savor the most expensive foods and delicacies known to the man, next on the list is world’s most expensive sushi made by Filipino chef Angelito Araneta Jr. What makes this plate of sushi consisting of five pieces the most expensive is not the fish, but the garnishing in gold leaves and diamonds. The sushi is garnished with .20-carat African diamonds and wrapped with 24-karat gold leaves and is available in a restaurant in Manila for $2,750.
