Aston Martin to Make V12 Vantage Available in North America

By the end of this year, the V12 Vantage – the most powerful production sports car in Aston Martin’s history – will be available for purchase in North America.

Originally exclusive to the European markets, the rapid increase in demand from the North American market has forced Aston Martin to expand across the Atlantic. After a series of engineering refinements to make the Vantage feasible for North American standards – none of which impacted the overall design – the U.S., Canada, and Mexico will be able to enjoy the luxury of this top-of-the-line car.

In order to satisfy North American requirements, the Aston Martin engineering team developed an alternative load transfer path, which altered the structure of the front of the car. The highly-exclusive Carbon Black special edition will also be made available.

Based on the hugely successful V8 Vantage, the V12 Vantage features a 6.0 liter V12 engine producing 510 bhp (380 kW / 517 PS), and 420 lb ft (570 Nm) of torque with a top speed of 305 km/h (190 mpg) and a 0-100 km/h time of 4.2 seconds.

“We are very pleased to be able to respond to customer demand and launch this car in North America – still our biggest market globally,” said Michael van der Sande, Aston Martin Chief Commercial Officer.

No word on the exact price yet, although the V12 Vantage in Europe is currently around $250,000.
