Being a cop commissioned to subdue a protesting mob can be a daunting task with only a helmet and security jacket to protect. Keeping an officer security in mind and using wearable technology as a medium to address climate change, student designers Elena Gianni, Benoit Espinola, and Ulrik A. Hogrebe of the Copenhagen Institute of Interactive Design have developed the C.O.P. Suit. This self-powered C.O.P. Suit not only functions as a protective armor, but also doubles as a mode to voice discontent. The C.O.P. Suit consists of a megaphone-mounted helmet, which draws power from an attached sleeve, which in turn generates energy from arm movement, and more innovatively from physical impact ((fist pumping, chest thumping, baton swinging) when things get rowdy.
